46. Vajrayogini and Other Deities
Style: All-Color (tson-thang)

Vajrayogini is a female embodiment of perfect Enlightenment. Her naked form represents transcendent wisdom, for there are no boundaries between herself and the universe. Vajrayogini stands on the demons of ignorance and ego, deemed the two greatest challenges to achieving Enlightenment. Her staff signifies her mastery of knowledge, which allows the Buddha to extend compassion indefinitely.

Vajrayogini is surrounded by the following deities, starting top-center and rotating clockwise: Buddha Vajradhara, Tilopa, Green Tara, a great Brahman, Palden Lhamo, Mahakala, Citipati, Ekajati, Yingkyi Yum Chenmo, and SakyaPandita. Currently, it is residing in a private American collection.
